Apart from Moses and Samuel who held both positions of being prophet and judge, Deborah was the only woman who held such positions simultaneously in Israel. Who would have thought. There were twelve judges in the Old testament and Deborah stood tall as the only woman . Deborah was called upon by God to deliver Israel. It is quite impressive that even thousand of years ago, the commander of the army was a woman.
To be inspired by a woman of great stance whom we continue to read about and study to believe that that it is possible to be appointed by God to lead am army in any setting. I think it is just to describe Deborah in these words:
In ancient Israel, she reigned,
As judge and homemaker, her path ordained.
Guided by God, she heeded His call,
A servant of greatness, she stood tall.
With wisdom as her guiding light,
She led her people through the fight.
Eloquent in word, regal in stance,
Chosen by fate for justice’s dance.
She stood firm, unyielding in her quest,
With fairness and truth, she was truly blessed.
In her presence, all fears dispersed,
For justice prevailed, quenching every thirst.
Deborah, a beacon in history’s throng,
Her legacy echoes in freedom’s song.
